Standard Taper Cutting Head (±6°)
The standard taper cutting head is a dedicated attachment that enables taper cutting on wire-cut EDM machines, supporting a taper angle range of ±6°. Through U/V-axis linkage controlled by the CNC system, the upper and lower wire guides shift relative to each other, tilting the molybdenum wire against the workpiece to machine tapered die cavities, punches and special-shaped parts. Featuring a compact, rigid structure with high taper control accuracy and repeatable positioning, it ensures dimensional accuracy and surface quality of tapered faces. Mounted on the machine column with quick switching between vertical and taper cutting modes, it is an essential component for machining structures such as angled ejector pins and slider mating faces in die manufacturing.
